Adding Products to the Database

Adding new products in Promomash is easy! The key is to remember that all promotion groups must also include the product in order for the reporting to include those products.

The steps below will help you add a new product to your database:

  1. Click Configure
  2. Under the database, click Products
  3. When you arrive to that screen, click the ADD PRODUCT icon
  4. Select the group (see below for creating groups if it's not available)
  5. Enter the name of the product so that your Brand Ambassadors (BAs) can easily identify the product (example: "Brand - Variety - Size")
  6. Enter the UPC # (or another unique alpha-numeric code)
  7. Enter the MSRP (suggested retail price) so the BA can check shelf pricing
  8. Enter the WSP if needed
  9. Click Attach to Promotions, so you can include this product in the relevant promotions
  10. Click Create and you are done!

If you are trying to create a new product, and you need a new group, follow these steps:

  1. Click New Groups
  2. Enter the name of the new group. Hint: A product group can be anything you want - sizes, a variety or even a brand
  3. Add any additional rows if you need more than 1 group
  4. Click Create when done and the new group will be available for adding products!
